Out of the Woods

Apple's recent introduction of the Mac mini last week didn't surprise many in the industry. Rumors had been flying during the days and weeks leading up to Macworld Expo. You might think that having a sub-$500 Mac available was a logical next step on Apple's part, but the move has left others wondering about their motivation. Robert X. Cringley has an excellent column this week in which he speculates about Apple's long-term plan, much of which makes a lot of sense in the grand scheme of things. Very interesting read.
