Out of the Woods

NASA’s comet probe Deep Impact successfully slammed its “lander” portion (Impactor) square into Comet Tempel 1 last night. While the comet wasn’t visible from much of the Earth at the time of impact, images sent back from both Impactor and Deep Impact are spectacular. Check out NASA’s site and some of the movies.
